Time and Memory
The forest surrounding my house in the Morvan was unknown territory for me.
But the soil under my feet, a world lost forever, was like the madeleines of Marcel, the main character in Proust's novel "In Search of Lost Time".
The soil evoked images of the region where I was born; where - as a small child - I spent a lot of time in the woods.
These are involuntary memories of the world of childhood.
Temps et Mémoire
La forêt qui entoure ma maison dans le Morvan était un territoire inconnu pour moi.
Mais le sol de la forêt sous mes pieds, un monde perdu a jamais, était comme les madeleines de Marcel, le personnage principal dans le roman
de Proust "À la recherche du temps perdu".
Le sol m’évoquait des images de la région où je suis née ; où - petite enfant - j'ai passé beaucoup de temps dans la forêt.
Ce sont des souvenirs involontaires de l'univers de l’enfance.
